The Industry

Ikon is an industry leader in delivering thoughtful, beautiful and layered workspaces for people to flourish in. We are dedicated to developing a future-proof model at the company, one which prioritises good client relations.

We have a round table approach that facilitates close collaboration between clients, consultants and contractors

Essential to this is our deep understanding of the needs of the modern workplace and our partnerships with specialist consultants. As Ikon Director Mike Garrett MCIOB recently said: “We build for the future and foster sustainable relationships. That takes precedence over everything else.”

What sets Ikon’s model apart from traditional design and build is the way we partner with external consultants. We offer our clients a singular working solution, where we take on the risk profile of the design and build, while they can enjoy the benefit of expert consultants throughout the journey to project completion. Partnering with the best consultants the industry has to offer allows us to deliver premium projects where exceptional design and a nuanced understanding of the built environment comes as standard.

This relationship focused approach is combined with a genuine passion for managing the client’s journey. We have a proven track record in delivering complex projects and this allows us to be sure footed in engaging all parts of the industry. We have a round table approach that facilitates close collaboration between clients, consultants and contractors. Our aim is to foster an interdependent working environment, one which gives life to better final outcomes for our clients.

We build for the future and foster sustainable relationships. That takes precedence over everything else.

Part of our approach is to leverage our relationships with the supply chain early on in project timelines, allowing clients to benefit from our specialist knowledge to de-risk programmes. We put a focus on addressing high-risk procurement activities right from the start of a project, which enables good design to prosper and the smallest details to be well attended to. We also prioritise the importance of identity. Whether we are working on a brand new building or on a refit, we take time to cultivate a rapport with our clients and to make spaces for them that are both relevant to their needs and complement the individuality of their business.

Our experience of workspaces, workplace systems and of the industry as a whole has allowed us to create an approach to design and build that is responsive, dynamic and truly future facing. We are comfortable solving complex issues and take great pride in delivering outstanding spaces for our clients.

At Ikon, we are committed to a new vision of the workplace; one that fosters interaction, is generous in spirit and is dedicated to positive participation. Our belief is that by creating better connectivity between all parts of the industry, we can improve the client’s journey and deliver the next generation of workspaces that will set new standards for all.
